CSR Commitment: Preserving Normandy’s Maritime Heritage
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach, our hotel is committed not only to the environment and the well-being of its employees, but also to preserving Normandy’s cultural heritage.
We are proud to support the Les Deux Amis (Saving Les Deux Amis) initiative, led by enthusiasts united by a strong friendship and a shared ambition: to bring an iconic 1949 Normandy boat back to life. Beyond the restoration of a historic vessel, this project embodies values that resonate with our own vision: authenticity, passing on heritage and respect for local traditions.
Our collaboration takes the form of concrete actions:
Financial and logistical support for the restoration of the boat, helping to preserve Normandy’s maritime craftsmanship.
Preserving Les Deux Amis – Take Part and Support Us
Showcasing the project to our guests through exhibitions, guided tours and dedicated events, encouraging the discovery of the region’s maritime history.
A commitment to solidarity by encouraging our teams and partners to take part in workshops, collaborative work sites and educational activities focused on the restoration.
This partnership reflects our desire to build lasting ties with the local non-profit community by actively contributing to the preservation of Normandy’s cultural identity. Every stay at our establishment is therefore an invitation to discover not only the beauty of Normandy, but also the history of those who bring it to life.
Because a hotel is not merely a place to stay, but also a committed contributor to its local area.
Our Eco-Responsibility
At the heart of our Hotels & Préférence establishment, our cuisine embodies values of culinary excellence and environmental responsibility. Aware of the impact of our activity on the planet, we are committed to adopting sustainable practices that respect nature and are in harmony with the Normandy terroir.
Social Commitment: Partnership with Café Joyeux
As part of its corporate social responsibility policy, Maison Douce Époque has chosen to incorporate Nespresso products into its hotel offering in collaboration with Café Joyeux, a French company with an inclusive mission.
Available both in the rooms and at the bar, Café Joyeux offers high-quality coffee, roasted in France, while pursuing an essential mission: promoting the professional inclusion of people with intellectual and cognitive disabilities by offering them supported, long-term employment in mainstream workplaces.
Through this partnership, Maison Douce Époque reaffirms its commitment to a more ethical, more human form of luxury, mindful of the impact of each of its actions.
Each cup of coffee served thus embodies conscious hospitality, where pleasure and solidarity come together.
